Dear Rotaractors,

I am sure you are aware of the powerful earthquake that hit central Italy yesterday (http://www.corriere.it/english/). News as of now are that no Rotaractor was physically harmed, but some suffered severe damages at their homes.

Rotaract in Italy is coordinating its efforts with those of the institutions and specialists. They too shall send blood, goods and voluntaries in the next days and then in the post-emergency reconstruction phase.

It appears that tens of thousands of people are left homeless, at least temporarily, and they need anything from shelters to water, from clothes to medicines.

Although the Italian government, the Red Cross and other institutions and charities have set up funds and channels to provide first aid, we can do our part immediately by making even small donations on an ad hoc account-current that Rotaract has set up for the emergency.
